A 60-minute virtual discussion exploring African American contributions to literature in America from its 18th-century colonial roots to the dawn of the 20th century. The seminar highlights a wide range of poets and writers, from Phillis Wheatley and Frederick Douglass to Frances Ellen Watkins Harper and Paul Laurence Dunbar. Presented by Vincent F.A. Golphin, Ph.D, professor at Valencia College in Orlando, Florida. Professor Golphin is also a published writer and a public speaker.
